Over 500 public, private & homeschool students gathered together April 1st & 2nd , 2011 to compete at the Regional & State Science Fairs!

Homeschoolers won the Excellence in Scientific and Engineering Achievement School Award for Grades 1 – 3 at the Washington State Science & Engineering Fair!!!

In other words, homeschoolers had a higher percentage of wins in those grades than any other school represented!!! This is our third year to earn a school trophy! We show it off at homeschool conventions and science fair workshops! Homeschoolers are awesome!

 Congratulations to the following Homeschoolers for doing outstanding work! Thank you for being excellent representatives of the homeschool community!

* The Washington Homeschool Science & Engineering Fair is intended as a Science Fair for homeschool students of all ages and skill levels.

The fee is $10 per child to cover a participation medallion and facility rental. Students will set up their projects at 1:30 p.m. and there will be a meeting for students & parents at 2:00. Each student must have a parent volunteer participate by attending the meeting, listening to four student's presentations and providing feedback. Presentations will begin at 2:30 and end at 4:00.  There will be a closing ceremony at 4:00 p.m. where each student will receive a medallion.

If a student wishes to participate in a Regional or State Science fair, parents are welcome to ask Larry or Kandis Brighton for specific recommendations after the closing ceremony.
